A Little About Me

I am a proud Dallas native who grew up in the southern suburb of Oak Cliff. After graduating from the prestigious Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, I went on to study choral conducting and music education at Stephen F. Austin State University.  I quickly made my way back home to Dallas once I received my Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music in Choral Conducting.

I am currently in my 12th year of education, and I teach choir and music studies at Lakeview Centennial High School where I am the Director of Choirs and Department Chair for the Visual and Performing Arts.

I understand that a strong partnership between schools, families, and the wider community is essential for student achievement and the overall success of a district. I will promote community engagement initiatives, involving local businesses, organizations, and institutions, to provide our students with diverse experiences and expand their opportunities beyond the classroom.
